LOS FELIZ–You know you live in a wealthy neighborhood when your house sells for $6.375 million – and it’s not nearly the most expensive home sold in the area over the last few years.
“Twilight” star Robert Pattinson recently sold his Los Feliz home for $6.375 million, ending his long association with the area. Don’t count on seeing much of him at Ye Rustic Inn or the Alcove, two local places he was frequently spotted kanoodling with fellow movie star Kristen Stewart.
Pattinson bought the 1922 Spanish colonial in 2011 for $6.25 million. It was previously owned by Lakers center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. It has three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and 4,026 square feet of space on 1.5 acres. It also has a lagoon-style swimming pool.
As impressive as the Pattinson sales price is, it’s far from being the top mover in the Los Feliz 90027 zip code over the last few years.
Actor David Hyde Pierce’s house at 2400 Inverness Ave. went for over $7 million in 2012, while the 2424 Nottingham Ave. house Danny DeVito lived in was sold along with the adjacent home for over $9.8 million in 2009.
And in November of last year, a home at 2015 De Mille Drive in the 90027 that once housed W.C. Fields was surely ready for its sales close-up, selling for over $7 million.
If Pattinson’s neighbors feel they’ll miss having a celebrity nearby, they shouldn’t worry. He sold the house to actor Jim Parsons, best known as the quirky theoretical physicist Sheldon on TV’s “The Big Bang Theory.” Parsons will move into his new home with fiancé Todd Spiewak.
David Gray of Partners Trust Beverly Hills was the listing agent. Ronald Shore of Keller Williams represented Parsons.
