Franklin Hills Seeks to Expand Boundaries
FRANKLIN HILLS—The Franklin Hills Resident’s Assoc. is asking the city of Los Angeles to expand its boundaries northward to where Talmadge and Tracy streets intersect, creating another 195 households for the neighborhood. Currently the association has 390 households.
According to president, Chris Boutelle, the expansion was requested as the association has and continues to work in the area in the proposed expansion area with work such as landscaping medians and reclaiming the area under the Shakespeare bridge making it into a garden.
“We thought we could expand to help that area that we already do work for anyway,” said Boutelle.
Included in the proposed new area would be streets such as Holly Knoll Drive, Myra Avenue, Monon Street, Newdale Drive and Lyric Avenue north of Franklin Avenue.
