Susanna Fogel New Yorker contributor Fogel’s debut novel Nuclear Family: A Tragicomic Novel is about a woman named Julie and her fractured New England Jewish family. However, readers never actually meet Julie, as the entire novel is written in the form of letters to her from her mother (who desperately needs technological help), her father (who writes haikus) and many more.
